The Merck Crystal Pavilion
Merck, in association with World Architecture Festival and the Architectural Review, is launching a competition for architecture students registered with any architectural school in the world.
The aim of the competition is to encourage thinking about developments in dynamic glass manufacture which relates to efficiency in energy performance, and in the possibilities of using liquid crystal technology as part of display/artistic/communications initiatives. All finalists will be invited to present their projects to our esteemed judges at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Berlin on 15-17 November.
Merck will work with the winner to put the design into production
The winning pavilion will be displayed in the innovation area of glass technology live 2018
The Architectural Review will feature the award via a double-page spread featuring the winner and referencing all finalists
Merck will arrange travel, accommodation and WAF passes for the six finalists
The winner will receive a certificate and trophy at the WAF awards dinner
